Meet Dr. Louis Taglia, Jr.

Dr. Louis Taglia, Jr., like his father, is dedicated to providing his patients with exceptional dental care. Dr. Taglia, Jr. received his B.A. from Dominican University in 1995 and his D.D.S. from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. He constantly hones his skills in post-graduate courses and seminars for cosmetic and restorative dentistry at some of the world's foremost dental training centers, including the Pankey Institute for Advance Dental Education, the Misch International Implant Institute, and the Dawson Center for Advanced Dental Studies.
Dr. Taglia, Jr. is member of the American Dental Association, the American Academy of Cosmetic Dentistry, the American Academy of Implant Dentistry, the American College of Oral Implantology, the Chicago Dental Society, the Academy of General Dentistry, the Illinois State Dental Society, the American Academy of Equilibration, the Misch International Implant Institute. He is also a fellow of the International Congress of Oral Implantologists.
A former high school wrestler and lifelong fitness enthusiast, Dr. Taglia, Jr. enjoys spending time with his four children, Louis, Patrick, Sophia, and Gia.
Meet Dr. Louis Taglia
Dr. Louis Taglia has been practicing dentistry at the same Elmwood Park office since 1963. Employing a warm, good-natured manner that sets even the most nervous of patients at ease, he is dedicated to providing excellent, compassionate care.
Dr. Taglia received his B.A. at Xavier University in 1957 and his D.D.S. at the University of Illinois School of Dentistry in 1961. From 1961-1963, Dr. Taglia was a member of the U.S. Army Dental Corps.
From 1986 to 2000, he was the Chairman of the West Suburban Branch of the Chicago Dental Society, serving on the Peer Review Committee. Dr. Taglia is a member of the American Dental Association, the Illinois State Dental Society, the Chicago Dental Society, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dr. Taglia thoroughly enjoys "golf vacations," which have included trips to Pebble Beach, Mexico, Bermuda, Jamaica, and the Robert Trent Jones Golf Trail in Alabama.
With his grandchildren, he enjoys reading books about dinosaurs, working on math games, and assembling puzzles. Dr. Taglia and his wife, Darla, the consummate partner and grandmother, will celebrate their 55th anniversary in September.
